Nurse Matt Morgan Matthew Timothy Morgan was born in London, England to Kate and Harper Morgan, and is the fifth born child of eight to the couple. Matt lived in London his whole life until he was accepted in scholarship into Yale School of Nursing, where he attended for four years before graduating with his Nursing degree, majoring in Surgical and Emergency Medicine Nursing. Despite enjoying college, Matt missed home and as his graduation approached, he applied for positions in London hospitals. He didn't want to limit himself, though and applied for a few more in larger US cities, and ultimately ended up accepting an offer of a nursing position at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, working in both the Surgical Department and the Emergency Room on rotation. It worked out for the best at the end of the day when two of his younger brothers and older sister, Nat, Scott and Liam, also came to New York for work and study, somewhat dividing the family across the globe. The only real hitch in Matt's life came when he had a brief period of rebellion in his teens and was sold a badly mixed ecstasy pill that he took one night at an illegal rave party he accidentally got swept up in due to peer pressure. He stopped breathing and his heart tried to shut down, and it was only a fast-responsive paramedic team that saved his life. He spent two weeks on life support and a further month in hospital recuperating and receiving drug counselling. Seeing how hard it his his family, he has never touched another drug since and has worked as a mentor to teens seeking help giving up drugs. As far as his lovelife goes, Matt has had a few on-again, off-again relationships but nothing has ever really stuck. Sex is mostly for fun and he isn't really looking to settle down yet, but likes to keep his options open. If he falls in love, so be it, but until then, he doesn't have any issues using sex as a hobby or stress relief and rarely has difficulty finding someone to reciprocate. He enjoys pulling the piss out of people and indulging in practical jokes. He is easy to get along with and enjoys having a laugh. Because his personality has a childish streak, he often forges a trust with his kid patients. He is a flirt, usually using his sense of humour as a hook, which is telling considering he rarely sticks with partners who don't know how to laugh or enjoy themselves. He likes things like junk food, amusement parks, arcades, cartoons, and favours a motorcycle as a means of transport. He'll talk to anyone who talks back and often finds himself as an ear for people who need to confide or offload. He loves his job and, like the rest of his family, works extremely hard to achieve his goals. He always wanted to be a nurse to give him patient contact, and feels that he is good at what he does. Matt is confident in his career now a few years in, but he is open to absorbing advice from his colleagues and taking on board unorthodox methods of operating in his job.
